Reviews
We were quick to be seated since we opted for outdoors. I'd recommend bundling up if you're thinking of going outside because they didn't have any heat lamps. Food was good, I liked that you could get the hollandaise sauce spicy or not spicy for the Benedict's. Portion size was good as well! Friendly staff but our server was a bit slow to check on us since we were outside I assume. A different staff member had to come pick up the check.
Go to breakfast place in Marin county. Very fluffy eggs and done just right. This place has breakfast perfected.
I love all the shops and restaurants in the downtown Navato area. Wanted to find a local spot for breakfast and the reviews on this place were good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Walked inside and it was busy--- so I liked the outdoor seating better. The menu has your traditional breakfast items. I liked the bread for the French toast option. It was better than a plain white bread. The eggs were fluffy and tasty. The bacon was a bit crispy for my taste but I just know to say something for the next order. It was a busy morning but the staff was friendly and kept checking in on us while our food came out. A good spot for a traditional breakfast.
If you have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast here do it! Amazing food the Marvin scramble was one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had! All the people who work there treat you like family! It feels like home when you walk in and take a seat. People are talking and engaging with each other! The atmosphere is one that we need to get back to! Thank you for making me feel welcomed even though this was my first time and the place was packed.
We were staying in the area because of a wedding at San Rafael. Novato just seemed to be the best place to stay. Our of all the places for breakfast in the downtown area, it seemed like this place was the most popular. I loved this small family joint serving diner style food. We ordered the cornish beef, which was amazing and the chicken fried steak. This was great and the portion sizes were amazing. The food also came out really hot. It is a cramped joint but we loved the vibe inside and the decor. My only knock was that the hash browns were not that crispy. Also, the price was pretty high for a diner joint, but we were happy to support a family business. The servers worked super hard and were all extremely friendly. Just a note that the food does take a while to come out, but it was well worth it.
